A group of four pensioners playing a game of whist were amazed to receive a complete suit in each hand.
Without fiddling the deck each of the players was randomly dealt an entire suit of cards, a feat so ridiculously unlikely that it has probably never happened before in the entire history of the game. The odds are in fact 2,235,197,406,895,366,368,301,559,999 ( over one thousand quadrillion ) to one. "The cards were shuffled, cut and dealt as normal," said one of the players.
It is an occurrence that comes with mind-boggling odds of a thousand quadrillion – or a thousand million million million million – to one. But a group of whist-playing pensioners say they were stunned when each player was dealt a complete suit in an opening hand.
