Proof 'Hill of Jonah' was inhabited

Antiquity authorites have announced the discovery of an ancient 3000-year-old fortress on the site.
Jewish, Christian and Muslim scriptures speak of a man who spent three days in the belly of a fish (or whale) to suffer God's wrath until he was forgiven and released. While there's no direct evidence to prove that Jonah was buried on the hill, the new find indicates that it was at least inhabitated at the time he was alive.
Remains of thick stone walls uncovered recently atop a hill in Israel — where tradition says the prophet Jonah was buried — indicate the site was occupied during the time of the prophet, almost 3,000 years ago.
