The emotional reunion between two brother gorillas at a safari park has been caught on camera.
Kesho and his younger brother Alf were parted three years ago when one of them was sent to London Zoo as part of a breeding programme. Their emotional reunion upon seeing one another again for the first time has proven to be one of the most human-like displays of affection ever observed in a primate species.

"We weren't entirely sure that the brothers would even know each other, but the moment they met you could just see the recognition in their eyes," said gorilla keeper Mark Tye. "It is great for Alf to have an older brother to look up to and learn from and Kesho seems to enjoy being the centre of attention."
Kesho the gorilla and his younger brother Alf had been apart for nearly three years after being sent to different zoos.

Traits like brotherhood & loyalty, affection aren't the exclusive province of homo sapiens. Remember Binti, the Silverback gorilla who defended a child who had fallen into the gorilla enclosure from other gorillas ? Wouldn't it be interesting to read their minds ?

I'd like to see the "2 days later" video where they have a drink and the younger brother remembers the bamboo airplane he spent 3 weeks lovingly crafting being smashed over his head by his Big Bro. *knowing smiley*

It may be 3 years to us but I wonder if it was more years to a gorilla? Like it's said for every year to us is 7 for a dog.
