Shark drops from sky over golf course

A live shark mysteriously fell from the sky over a golf course located four miles from the sea.
Golfers at the San Juan Hills Golf Club in California were left perplexed when a leopard shark plummeted from the heavens and landed somewhere around the 12th tee. Still alive despite its ordeal, the creature was taken to the clubhouse where onlookers keen to help decided to put it in some water with table salt added to simulate the ocean.

Fortunately there was a happy ending to the story as a short time later the shark was driven back to the ocean and released, seemingly no worse for wear. It is believed that it had probably ended up on the golf course after being caught by a seabird and then dropped by accident while it was flying back inland.
A shark which fell from the sky on to a golf course survived its journey and has been returned to the ocean.

First it's rose petals, then frogs, then small fish and now a shark. What next, a whale?

That's what happens when a venture capitalist shows up for a round or 2.

I'm envisioning a group of teen aged birds smoking weed and daring each other to do stupid pranks like drop a small shark into the golf course, then when the shark misses the intended target, laughing like hyenas... Different group that dropped a fish on the teacher but same scenario of delinquent Birdies.

Read another piece that claimed it was an osprey that dropped the shark in the golf course. That's a stretch. A two foot shark would be the absolute limit in weight that an osprey could carry and that would be for a very short distance. The idea that the bird carried the shark 4 miles inland is hard to believe. Once I heard of a lady golfer who complained to the course pro that she had been stung by a bee. The pro asked her where she had been stung, She answered, "between hole number 1 and hole number 2." His advice, "shorten your stance."
