Man mistakenly dines on bucket of concrete

Image: AI-generated (Midjourney) The inebriated resident of Nanjing in China's Jiangsu province made headlines this week after he managed to eat a substantial quantity of newly mixed concrete believing it to be food.

During an interview the man later described how he had been walking home from a bar when he came across the bucket and decided that the contents were edible.By the time he'd worked out exactly what he was eating he had managed to down 250g of the stuff and ended up being rushed to hospital to have his stomach pumped.

Doctors emphasized that he was lucky to be alive because if the concrete had set while it was still inside his stomach it would have most likely killed him.

Despite his ordeal however the man is expected to go on to make a full recovery.
