Bear filmed riding in the back seat of a car

The bear seemed to be enjoying its unorthodox commute. Image Credit: YouTube / Grad Grad Recorded in the central Russian city of Yekaterinburg, the footage shows the brown bear fidgeting around in the back of a Volga car before sticking its head out of the passenger window.

Despite the fact that Russia's famous Filatov circus, which specializes in performing bears, was in town at the time of the sighting circus head Julia Filatova maintains that it wasn't one of theirs."Our bears are much bigger," she said. "Normally little bears are kind and friendly. If it was more than a year old it wouldn't have fit in such a car and certainly wouldn't have gone inside happily."

When asked about the incident local police officials stated that they had no intention of arresting the driver because the bear had been wearing a seatbelt and that therefore no laws had been broken.
