Daredevil climber Alain Robert has climbed up London's Heron Tower with no ropes or safety equipment.
Famous for free solo climbing towers and skyscrapers in cities all across the world, Robert, who is from Burgundy, has become known as 'the Human Spider' or 'the French Spider-Man'.

Earlier today the 56-year-old set his sights on London's Heron Tower - a 754ft behemoth in the heart of England's capital with an exterior made up of little more than thin ledges and window panes.

The challenge of the ascent did little to deter him however, as he made his way up the side of the structure while crowds of people gathered below to watch.
He managed to reach the top within just 50 minutes before being unceremoniously arrested by police.

He described the climb as "medium" in terms of difficulty.

"I'm not crazy," he told Sky News. "What I'm doing may seem crazy but I'm not that crazy."
