Medium claims old Bible was placed in attic by ghost

Did a ghost move the book to the attic ? Image Credit: sxc.hu Yvonne, who hosts paranormal tours and events with The Scottish Ghost Company, first became suspicious when she discovered the old book in her attic despite having never seen it before.

Her husband, Alex, had no idea where it had come from either.

"I was completely confused as I use the loft regularly, at first I assumed my husband had been up the same day and put it there," Yvonne told The Daily Record.

"We had no idea who it belonged to or where it came from as we have lived in the house for 24 years and are up and down in the loft regularly and both had never seen it before."

Her first thought was that the Bible was connected to her grandmother, however it turned out that she had no recollection of it either and neither did anyone else in the family.

"We really have no idea who or where it came from. None," she said.As it happened, however, medium and investigator David McCabe did have an idea of where the mysterious book might have come from - the site of a previous investigation in Ayreshire.

"I believe that this is a classic example of an 'Apport' - which is where an object disappears from one location and reappears in another," he said.

"I think the original owner of the Bible was a resident at a derelict building that we investigated. Having figured out who we were and him wanting his family to have his Bible, he decided to make it appear in Yvonne's loft, knowing she would come across it."

Yvonne is now hoping to reunite the family of the Bible's owner - a World War II soldier by the name of Robert Litterick - with the book, if they can make contact with anyone who might know who he was.

"We would love to maybe be able to get it back to the original owner or their family," she said.
