The five-member Trapp family from Esko has a combined height equal to the length of half a tennis court.
Being tall can certainly have its advantages - for example you'll never have trouble reaching items on the highest shelf in your kitchen - however it can also have its disadvantages too, such as finding clothes that fit or a vehicle that offers enough legroom to sit comfortably on long journeys.
For the Trapp family, however, all of these things and more are simple realities of everyday life.
Consisting of five members - Scott, Krissy, Savanna, Molly and Adam - the family recently earned the distinction of being the world's tallest family with an average height of 6 ft 8.03 in.
The tallest is Adam Trapp who stands 7 ft 3 in tall, while the shortest (yet still towering over most people) is his mother Krissy who stands 6 ft 3 in tall.
Unsurprisingly, the three siblings have all been highly coveted as basketball and volleyball players.
To establish the family as the world record holders, orthopaedics doctor Dr. Anna Sudoh measured each member several times throughout a typical day, both while standing and while lying down.
"My sister called the family up to tell us that we officially got the record," said Adam.
"Everyone was excited about it, and it was almost hard to believe."
Whoa. I know this city. I used to play them in summer soccer league and a few times some kids competing in slalom qualifiers at Spirit Mtn.\ Small world, Big People. Must be in the water
I remember seeing him before he got big. I was working in theater downtown back then and would see him walking down the street to gigs at a club near our rehearsal space. I remember seeing him regularly for a time and thinking to myself "whoa, that guy's guitar is bigger than he is."
