A goat named Simba could be about to earn its place in the record books thanks to its staggeringly long ears.
Born last month in Karachi, Pakistan, this remarkable goat - which has ears measuring 54cm long - has become something of a media sensation in the country.

According to breeder Mohammad Hasan Narejo, Simba's ears are in fact so extraordinarily lengthy that he finds himself having to fold them back to prevent the goat from standing on them.

He is currently hoping to have the animal recognized by Guinness World Records, however there isn't currently a category for "world's longest goat ears", so he is attempting to submit Simba for the accolade of "world's longest ears" instead.
It certainly didn't take long for the goat's remarkable ears to attract the attention of the media.

"Within 10 to 12 days of his birth he was already appearing in all the national and international media - and won a beauty contest," said Narejo.

"Within 30 days he became so popular that even a famous personality might take 25 to 30 years to achieve this level of fame."
