Keen to avoid arrest, one inventive 18-year-old decided to cram his entire body inside a large stuffed toy.
According to a recent report by Greater Manchester Police, 18-year-old Joshua Dobson - who had been wanted for months for a string of offenses including stealing a car - was caught after an officer noticed "a large bear breathing" during a search of a house in Rochdale.

It turned out that the culprit had torn open a hole on the underside of the 5-ft teddy bear and crawled inside so that when the police searched the property, it would look as though nobody was there.

His ruse seemed to be working until it became apparent that the bear was moving.

Police officers were quick to make light of the bizarre situation.
"Our neighborhood task force and divisional tasking team in #Rochdale could bearely believe what they stumbled across in search for a wanted man last month," they wrote on Facebook.

"He's now stuffed behind bars after being sentenced last week for theft of a motor vehicle, driving while disqualified, and making off from a petrol station without payment."

"Hopefully, he has a bearable time inside."
