Classic Bigfoot encounter resurfaces in report from 1999

How would you react to coming face-to-face with this ? Image Credit: CC BY-SA 4.0 Carlstak Bigfoot sightings are certainly not a new phenomenon, as evidenced by the recent revisiting of an old report submitted to the Bigfoot Field Researchers Organization back in 1999.

The incident itself occurred in 1963 and concerned a group of children who had been staying at the Cooks Valley Campground in Mendocino County, California.

They had been playing in a playground at the site when they suddenly became aware of a terrible, pungent smell coming from somewhere nearby - a combination of "rotting deer carcass and skunk".

After venturing out to investigate, the group caught sight of an 8ft-tall bipedal creature that was standing near the tree-line, apparently observing them from the base of a redwood tree.The beast stared at them for a while before turning around and disappearing into the forest.

Several children who had been there at the time later provided matching descriptions of the event.

This wasn't the only notable encounter to occur in Mendocino County either - there is even a report detailing the case of three marijuana farmers who were allegedly killed by one of the creatures.

Predictably, however, no conclusive physical evidence of the perpetrator was ever found.
