Officers couldn't believe their eyes when they spotted the vehicle cruising along with the huge bovine riding shotgun.
The enormous animal, which was far too large to actually fit inside the car, was seen standing in a special cut-out with the entire right-hand side of the vehicle's front completely missing.
It turned out that the owner, Lee Meyer, had driven the bull in parades for years and the animal - named Howdy Doody - was not an uncommon sight thanks to his specially modified ride.
Officers had spotted the Ford Crown Victoria sedan as it approached Nebraska on Wednesday.
"We didn't have a full understanding of it until we saw it," said Norfolk police captain Chad Reiman.
"It wouldn't go far without being noticed for sure."
Sign on the car door said: Nebraska's BIG RODEO Parade Best Car Entry. They have one scheduled in July of 2024. Youtube says the guy rode with the bull "Howdy Doody" in 2019 but they weren't sure which parade the sign was referencing. https://nebraskasbigrodeo.com/
