Man with 'emotional support alligator' denied access to stadium

A man accompanied by an alligator on a leash was recently denied access to a Philadelphia Phillies baseball game.
While it's certainly not unreasonable to take your support dog with you when you go out, there are likely very few places that would allow you to bring along a fully-grown live alligator.

This was the bizarre scenario that occurred at Citizens Bank Park a couple of weeks ago when Joie Henney, who had been hoping to enjoy a baseball game featuring the Phillies and Pittsburgh Pirates, arrived accompanied by a rather large (and very dangerous) alligator.

It wasn't any ordinary alligator either - the 5ft reptile has gained something of a following since 2015 when it was revealed to be playing the role of "emotional support alligator" for Henney.
Park officials ultimately refused to admit access, noting the policy was to only allow "certified service dogs or service dogs in training for guests with special needs."

In other words - alligators don't count.

When I was stationed at FT. Stweart, Georgia which is located on the edge of the Okefenokee Swamp we had a 6ft. Alligator trying to enter one of our tents after a long rain and some flooding. My soldiers freaked out and unassed the area real fast, we ended up chasing him out of our perimeter with tent poles!!!!!! Watching those soldiers that day made me laugh so hard, I still do to this day every time I think about this!!!!!

I don't think I would want a pet that could eat me.

Not if you eat him first, Alligator is real tasty if it is prepared right. I have eaten it on more than one occasion, and I really liked it!!!

So no dogs or cats then?  They eat you when you die.  They are also carnivores.

Cats do. Dogs normally don't.  Personally I liked those welfare checks the cops call you in on when they are a jellied skeletons.

I'd read about this alligator before. It 'loves to give hugs'. https://www.huffpost.com/entry/girl-walking-emotional-support-alligator-leash-love-park_n_630d2504e4b065bfc4b12b8b

Clear case of animal abuse, subjecting a vertebrate to a Philadelphia Phillies crowd.

I don't know that alligator looks pretty cuddly for an alligator.
