Stephen Barcelo's Cryptozoology and Paranormal Museum in Littleton has long offered up a wealth of inexplicable enigmas.
As part of a new series of articles exploring interesting and unique places relating to the unexplained, we're taking a look at an intriguing museum in Littleton, North Carolina.
Founded and owned by Stephen Barcelo, the Cryptozoology and Paranormal Museum is home to a wide range of exhibits relating to both cryptozoological creatures and paranormal phenomena.
Visitors can expect to find everything from haunted dolls and meteorites to Bigfoot hair samples.
Barcelo himself, who was once a journalist in New York, is now a full-time cryptozoologist and shares a keen passion for anything and everything weird and mysterious.
He is also an active paranormal investigator and maintains that the museum itself is haunted.
"Some crazy, crazy stuff goes on in this house," he said during an interview with Alexandra Charitan.
"It's more about getting the story. I hope the camera worked, I'm wondering, 'Did I catch this?' What you see or perceive is not always what you get on tape."
On the subject of Bigfoot, Barcelo is clearly a believer.
"I think Bigfoot is a flesh and blood creature," he said.
"We have people that come in and think that they're inter-dimensional but I think they're some divergence of Gigantopithecus. Too many people have seen things."
"They're seeing something here. There's something out there."
