The enormous footprint was found imprinted in the mud along a picturesque coastal path.
Devon, England isn't exactly the first place you think of when it comes to Bigfoot, yet this week it was reported that a group of people venturing along a picturesque coastal path in the county earlier this month had come across an anomalously large footprint in the mud.
The enormous print, which looks a lot like the many alleged Bigfoot prints found in North America over the years, was found next to the Maidencombe coastal path back on March 2nd.
What's more, the print was not alone - the group managed to follow the tracks back around 20 meters and determined that whatever had made them must have emerged from the nearby Watcombe woods.
"The prints were big," said one of the group. "I'm a size 11 and they were half as big again."
"Clearly a bare foot, every print was perfect like the one in the photo."
The group maintained that they had been "weirded out" by the whole experience.
So who or what could have made the prints ?
Ultimately, it's impossible to know for sure. Perhaps someone else had left the prints there as a prank, or perhaps the prints were just regular footprints that had somehow become enlarged through natural processes.
Then again, perhaps something else entirely was responsible.
