The author and researcher will be delving once again into the world of alternative history.
Back in 2022, Hancock - a somewhat divisive figure in the world of archaeology - hosted a show for Netflix entitled Ancient Apocalypse in which he investigated the possibility that an advanced human civilization existed during the last ice age and was destroyed in some sort of catastrophic event.

In each episode, he visited various archaeological sites around the world in search of clues pointing to the existence of this civilization and the disaster that he believes brought about its demise.

While the show proved popular with audiences, other archaeologists and experts widely dismissed Hancock's conclusions as psuedoarchaeology that could be easily disproven.

Nonetheless, this week Netflix unveiled a trailer for Ancient Apocalypse: The Americas, a second season of the show which will this time focus more on sites in North and South America.

Surprisingly, Hollywood actor Keanu Reeves will be joining Hancock now and again throughout the series to discuss various topics including the importance of storytelling in preserving culture through the ages.
"Exploring the mysterious origins of civilization has been my passion for many years," said Hancock.

"The Americas have remained largely unexplored in this context and my purpose in the series was to examine compelling new evidence that I hope might spark healthy debate in the archaeology community."

The show's second season will debut on Netflix on October 16th.

"Known as a disrupter who challenges traditional ideas about this period of history, Graham uses his skills as a journalist to talk to experts and indigenous communities to put his theory to the test," said Ian Russell of ITN Productions.

I found it interesting.. but yeah. Can't subscribe into it too much without empirical data/evidence.

Its attractive to envision that stuff, and that is why people read science fiction and fantasy.

I'd love to see a thorough debate with Graham and his critics. I find alternative theories fascinating. The truth is probably somewhere in the middle.

At least it’ll give Miniminuteman (who is a trained archaeologist) in YouTube another couple of hours of content.

I had a good time watching it.  Just for the landscapes and seeing what nature was capable of.

Agreed. I just bought Roadside Picnic (Boris Strugatsky). People hunt for mysterious artifacts left from (alien) advanced civilization.
