Is Missouri being frequented by visitors from another world ? Image Credit: Justin Johnson / Pixabay
Something strange has been frequenting the skies over the state in recent years.
Three years ago, we reported on the case of Justin Johnson - a Missouri resident who used his mobile phone to film a peculiar spinning, cube-shaped object floating over the state.
Now his sighting - and his footage - are back in the news again, this time as part of a story highlighting the number of unexplained objects that have been spotted over Missouri over the last few years.
In addition to Johnson's sighting, some of the more prominent examples have included the sighting of a thin, white object that was filmed zooming across the sky near a passenger jet last summer and even a second UFO sighting filmed by Johnson himself just a few weeks ago.
UFO researcher Alejandro Rojas, however, has urged caution over interpreting these sightings.
"The vast majority of sightings that we get are misinterpretations of something mundane," he said.
"There are a lot of great possibilities out there. But we just don't know."
"We really need to follow that data to figure it out."
For Johnson, however, the objects he has recorded remain something of a mystery.
"We're on the precipice of finding out something that can change humanity forever," he said.
"This is all very exciting to me."
