While we still haven't seen the release happen, the US President continues to maintain that we will see it fairly soon.
When President Donald Trump made the unexpected decision to order federal agencies to begin releasing the government's files on aliens and the UFO phenomena back in February, there was a great deal of enthusiasm and intrigue with regard to what they might show.
More than two months on, however, and there is still no sign of the promised files.
While there have been several references to them, including by Trump himself, we still don't know exactly what will be in the files, how they will be released or when.
The most recent mention of them occurred on April 29th when the Artemis II astronauts paid a visit to Trump in the White House.
While the topic of the day was obviously the country's space program, the discussion did briefly turn to UFOs - prompting Trump to comment, yet again, on the release of those elusive files.
"I think we will be releasing as much as we can in the near future," he said.
"For some reason, and I guess it's just a reason, it's been in the minds of people for a long time. They want to find out about the UFOs and anything having to do with UFOs or related material."
"I think it is going to be interesting to some people. I have interviewed people, my first term primarily, I interviewed some pilots. Very solid people, and they said they saw things that you wouldn't believe."
