Photograph shows weird 'hand' in area known for Bigfoot sightings

Image Credit: Duffy Springfield / Reddit It had been an otherwise uneventful hiking trip to remote woodland in one of the US states most often associated with the Bigfoot phenomenon when Duffy Springfield and her boyfriend stopped to take a photograph of the scenery behind a concrete pillar situated at the top of a sharp drop.

When she later had the image developed, however, she noticed to her surprise that there seemed to be someone or something else in the picture.

By zooming in on the pillar, it was possible to see what looked like a hand grabbing one side, as though something was hiding just out of sight behind it.

Given that the pillar was right on the edge of a considerable drop, how could something have been there ? Both Springfield and her boyfriend maintained that they'd seen nobody else during their trip."Honestly, we were pretty excited when we saw it because of all the cryptids said to lurk in the West Virginian mountains," she said. "Even if it's not actually a hand, it's a fun story to have."

It wasn't long before the picture had gone viral on social media, sparking a great deal of speculation and debate over what could account for the mysterious hand in the image.

Could someone have been hiding behind the pillar ? Was it Bigfoot ? Or is it just an optical illusion ?
