Something strange was recently picked up by a hunting camera set up in the forests of Newport, Washington.
Does this video footage show evidence of a spirit wolf ?
Marco McDewey - a hunter who captured the anomaly on a woodland trail camera in Newport, Washington recently - certainly seems to think so.
The clip starts by showing a number of small deer moving across the bottom-right corner of the frame.
Then, after a couple of seconds, a white, wisp-like mist in the shape of a small animal suddenly appears from among the trees and moves in a gait-like manner toward the left-hand side.
"I'm thinking it's a wolf spirit guarding my property," said McDewey.
But could this really be evidence of a ghostly wolf or is there a more conventional explanation ?
One possibility is that the shape is actually the result of some form of camera anomaly, while another is that it is an insect either flying past or crawling across the surface of the lens.
Yep it’s pretty typical for this type of camera. @papageorge1 can you ask him specifically the camera he is using? But for trail camera footage, this is normal. And being a hunter, you’d expect him to know that. So is he ignorant or being deliberately deceptive?
I'll repeat the conversation: George (me): Ghost wolf? Would a living quick moving animal appear more solid on this camera? Answer: Absolutely if it would of been a living animal you would of seen a solid body for sure   He sounds very certain to me and I would suspect that's from his prior experience with the camera. And if it was a physical canine or something the deer would have bolted instead of looking confused. I'll see if he mentions a camera model.
Doesn't appear to be anything but some mist and one explanation is that the feeder is full of whole kernel corn which can heat up and the feeder may be automatic to dispense feed at a given time. Warm corn hitting colder air may be the culprit for the mist.
