76-year-old billionaire Tim Boyle has challenged flat Earthers to take a photo of the void at the edge of the world.
Those who believe that the Earth is flat despite overwhelming, incontrovertible evidence to the contrary have been offered another opportunity to prove their case courtesy of Tim Boyle - the billionaire CEO of Columbia Sportswear Company.
The challenge, which he refers to as 'Expedition Impossible', tasks flat Earthers with the unenviable task of venturing to the very edge of the world to capture photographic proof of the infinite void that some people believe exists there.
The reward for doing this ? Control of Boyle's entire $3 billion company.
"This message is for flat Earthers," he said. "You guys claim there's an end to the Earth."
"Well, just go snap a picture, send it to us, and you get the assets of the company. All of it. No paperwork, no lawyers, no catches."
Of course, the challenge is intended to be more of a tongue-in-cheek promotional exercise than a genuine contest (obviously there is no 'edge of the world' to photograph).
Even so, it's possible that someone will actually attempt it.
Last year, Pastor Will Duffy took a group of flat Earthers to Antarctica in order to demonstrate to them that there wasn't a giant wall around the edge of the world.
The group ended up having to eat humble pie when they got there and discovered the truth.
Whether or not something similar will happen if anyone actually tries to claim Boyle's $3B prize, however, remains to be seen.

I found their arguments so ridiculous that I had to stop reading. Youtube is infested with these cranks. On the bright side, their zone of influence is shrinking fast with the amount of people taking them to task over the flat heads stupidity. The comments on these vids are hilarious.
