UFO researcher and writer David Wilcock has died, aged 53

Credit: Frank Jurgen-Richter / CC BY-SA 2.0 (adapted) Born in New York in 1973, Wilcock was said to have first developed a keen interest in the unexplained back in the early 90s when he heard about the idea that the US government was in possession of alien technology that had been retrieved from UFO crash sites.

He would soon become a prominent figure in the disclosure movement, while also being regarded as a prominent spiritual figure who some believed was the reincarnation of clairvoyant Edgar Cayce.

Wilcock was also interested in prophecies concerning the year 2012 and wrote the book The Source Field Investigations: The Hidden Science and Lost Civilizations Behind the 2012 Prophecies.

In the mid-2010s, he co-hosted a show called Cosmic Disclosures, then in 2018 created the film Above Majestic which looked into the possibility of Reptilian aliens living in Antarctica.This was followed by The Cosmic Secret, which looked at the origins of humanity and the mysteries of existence.

Wilcock also ran his own YouTube channel for many years and made multiple appearances on the TV show Ancient Aliens.

Sadly, his life came to an abrupt end when police officers were called out to his home on April 20th to attend what was described as a 'mental health crisis'.

It resulted in Wilcock turning a firearm on himself.

He was 53.
