A recent CBS News poll took a deep dive into what people across the US believe with regard to extraterrestrial life.
The idea that aliens might be visiting our planet has been gaining enormous traction in recent years - even more so now thanks to the recent release of Trump's long-awaited UFO files.
But exactly what do people actually believe ?
A recent CBS News poll asked exactly this question - with some interesting results.
According to the figures, 63% of Americans believe that there is intelligent life on other planets - which is a majority - but it does mean that 37% believe that we are alone in the universe.
The poll also asked when we would likely have contact with intelligent extraterrestrials.
Only 21% believe that this has already happened, while 46% believe it will happen in the future and a further 33% believe that it will never happen at all.
When asked how they would feel about meeting intelligent aliens, most people reported that they would be curious, while others expressed nervousness and excitement.
Less than a third claimed that they would be scared and only 14% said they would remain calm.
On the topic of UFOs, a whopping 83% stated that they had never seen one, while 17% said that they had.
As for what UFOs might be - the results were almost split down the middle, with 51% believing that they could be alien spacecraft and 41% favoring conventional human-made objects.
