Minotaur

A creature of Greek Mythlogy, the Minotaur was half-man, half-bull and devoured humans to satiate its hunger. To inprison the creature, Minos king of Crete had Daedalus design a Labyrinth in which to confine it. Every nine years 7 men and 7 women were sent into the Labyrinth to be consumed by the creature. The Minotaur was however finally destroyed when Theseus braved the Labyrinth and successfully managed to slay the creature before making his escape.
