The problem is that when we age the line between what we believe and what we know for sure often becomes very blurred. My Mom is 84 and she very frequently confabulates stuff. Other times her memory (depending on the event) is quite clear. I'm sure that this 90 year old firefighter sincerely believes all that he's saying...and he may very well be correct. Psyche101- You seem to have seriously misconstrued my intent in contacting the last remaining Fireman from the Roswell City Fire Department in 1947. We did not seek to harass this man. We treated him with respect and with dignity. He elected to reply to our questions. He was not in any way coaxed or 'led on.' The man was not mentally fragile- he was alert and forthcoming in his own way- and was in no way 'taken advantage of.' I mentioned clearly in the article that 'testimony' is not ideal evidence. i agree 100%. i was actually on my way to basically type the same thing (except in a normal font, size and color) Plenty of people have come forward, more than could possibly have been there at the time, yet these people all escaped the military's retribution? I think your right at his age there is no way he can recall what all happen, Its sad but i don't think we are ever really going to know the truth about what happen that day unless our government comes clean about it,..... Well put. It seems like he's honest but could a rural fireman viewing something in 1947 really identify an alien craft? Obviously something happened there-- this isn't the first old guy to state the truth as he saw it before his death and they've all pretty much agreed with each other.
