Japan's unmanned Hayabusa spacecraft is on its way back to Earth carrying samples of the asteroid Itokawa.
While the mission has been plagued by technical glitches Hayabusa remains on course, once it gets close enough it will release its sample capsule that will land at a test facility in southern Australia on June 13th if all goes to plan.
An unmanned Japanese spacecraft designed to return samples from an asteroid has completed an important step on its journey back to Earth. Hayabusa achieved the second and largest of four engine firings designed to guide the probe back home.

I'll be sure to stay indoors on June 13th just in case some strange capsule lands in my backyard by mistake lol

Given the way this whole mission went, you'd stick a 5000km funnel pointed to Australia from space and they'd still miss and go crash on the Sun a few years from now...
