A six-week dig has been planned to investigate the site that spans an area equivalent to 10 football pitches.
A site at Marden, near Devizes, rivalled Stonehenge and Avebury in its day, says English Heritage. The group is about to undertake a six-week dig at the site close to the village, starting on June 28.

Back then they had true culture and belief. Today everything is skewed and distorted... or rolled into one. Japanese culture, Early European, Mayan and Egyptian cultures were much more rich than we know, far surpassing todays melting pot of materialism. I look at Canada and what we could consider culture, it`s hockey. That`s about it. The lush Native American culture was extorted long ago.
