Scientists at the University of Glasgow have produced the world's smallest Christmas card.
At this festive time of the year millions of people are sending cards to their friends and loved ones but engineering boffins in Glasgow have instead opted to demonstrate what nanotechnology is capable of by creating a miniscule Christmas card on a piece of glass measuring 200x290 micro-metres. The card is so small that it could fit on a postage stamp 8,276 times over.
Scientists have produced what they believe is the world's smallest Christmas card. It was created by nantotechnologists at the University of Glasgow and is so small it could fit on to the surface of a postage stamp 8,276 times.

That's really interesting, stuff Still Waters. But I think I'll stick to my Hoops and Yo Yo cards for every occasion! Still it's a nifty idea, I wouldn't mind trying that one time. As long as the price for the card isn't too high. I hope a librarian's salary covers it!

Why would anyone want a Christmas card so small they can't read it,I think it's cool to have the tech to do that but to me it is a waste of time,Save that tech for something better,Just my opinion.

Agreed, It's kinda neat, but over all a waste of money. Yeah, but they were just showing the accuracy of the system through this, but then also I didn't quite understand the idea of printing things that we cant see by our naked eyes. If they are able to print nano-circuits or something of that type on such scale then its mega cool because initially I thought that its some Christmas card with lights on it ! Otherwise its just useless as far as I can see!
