The US government has formally responded to two high profile petitions about UFOs and alien visitation.

The two petitions demanded that the US government confirm the visitation of intelligent extraterrestrials and to release to the public all documents pertaining to human interactions with them. A representative from the White House Office of Science and Technology responded to both requests.

"The U.S. government has no evidence that any life exists outside our planet, or that an extraterrestrial presence has contacted or engaged any member of the human race," he said. "In addition, there is no credible information to suggest that any evidence is being hidden from the public’s eye."

"The White House has responded to two petitions asking the US government to acknowledge formally that aliens have visited Earth and to disclose any intentional withholding of government interactions with extraterrestrial beings."

Imagine a number line*, if you will, with 0 in the dead center. At the extreme ends are the hard core believers and disbelievers - FTBs and FTDs (not to be confused with the florist network). From those extremes coming in toward the center, the degrees of [dis]belief moderate until they meet at the 0 point which is neutral. The neutral position is unique in that it can appear to be that of a believer to some disbelievers and as a disbeliever to some believers. It is, however, the only position that can honestly say "I don't know" without bias. It is also the only position that recognizes that ... [More]

I bet there are some scientists who do know but are not allowed to talk about it. I'm not sure just how widely this information has been shared--no way of knowing. Now, I like you, you seem to have an open mind, more so than some of these other responses I have received, I always say "closed mind, closed lipped"!
