Apollo astronaut Edgar Mitchell is no stranger to the world of UFOs and government conspiracies.
One of only 12 men to walk on the Moon, Mitchell has never had a problem putting forward his views on UFOs, extraterrestrial visitation and potential government cover-ups. In particular he believes that the events at Roswell, New Mexico in 1947 did indeed involve a crashed alien spacecraft and that the government has gone to great lengths to conceal the truth of the matter from the public.
In a recent interview with author James M. Clash, Mitchell described his personal experiences with those who were at Roswell when the incident took place. "After my space flight, I was contacted by descendants of the original Roswell observers, including the person who delivered the child-sized coffins to the Air Force to contain alien bodies," he said. "Another was one of the children of the deputy sheriff who was patrolling traffic around the site. "
"On February 5, 1971, Edgar Mitchell became the sixth of only 12 men to step on the moon."
