Man smuggles 44 lizards in his underpants

A man from Germany has been jailed after attempting to smuggle a number of reptiles out of New Zealand in his underwear.
The German reptile collector attempted to carry 44 geckos and skinks out of the country by hiding them inside a small pouch he had concealed in his underpants, he was fined $5000 New Zealand dollars and jailed for 14 months.A German reptile collector has been jailed for 14 weeks and must pay a 5,000 New Zealand dollar ($3,540) fine for plundering New Zealand's wild gecko and skink populations, a judge ruled Tuesday.
