Apollo 13 crew would have burned up

Apollo 13 would have burned up in the atmosphere if they hadn't made it back safely it has been revealed.
It has been believed that the stricken Apollo 13 spacecraft would have drifted on endlessly through the solar system with the frozen crew on board if they hadn't made it back to Earth, now new research has revealed that they would have actually burned up in the Earth's atmosphere.
It has long been believed the crew of the near-doomed Apollo 13 mission would have frozen in the infinity of space had Nasa failed in its dramatic rescue to bring them back to Earth.

Growing up interested in astronomy and space travel, I first heard of Apollo 13 in middle school science class but wasn't given the full details by my teacher (so much for education). But I got to view the movie starring Tom Hanks, and made the phrase calling for help "Houston, we have a problem" a pop cultural one 25 years later (1995). The movie mentioned a risk of burning fatality on reentry, as much they protect themselves from sub-zero cold in the space module orbiting the moon when its' electricity and heater were deactivated.

There is a certain lack there, huh? You might check out the Age of Aquarius thread. I think you'll get the full scoop there...

While it is nice to speculate, isn't this a little like saying "they would have died if they hadn't lived"? They lived.

Many astronauts have, as it happens, done it, and survived. Shocking, I know. http://www.crystalinks.com/vanallenbelt.html (Just to provide evidence for something which is apparently not known.) From that article... Proponents of the Apollo Moon Landing Hoax have argued that space travel to the moon is impossible because the Van Allen radiation would kill or incapacitate an astronaut who made the trip. Van Allen himself, still alive and living in Iowa City, has dismissed these ideas. Anyways, back on track.

So the conspiracy about the Van Allen belt is confirmed by Van Allen himself, interesting.

Opps I meant that Van Allen himself says the dangers of the belt is not a smoking gun in the moon landings. He says we can safely go through it not that we can't. My bad.
