With funding cuts and the Allen Telescope Array effectively shut down, what happens now for SETI ?
The search for intelligent alien life in the universe is currently on the backburner, with a lack of funding SETI is tasked with finding private sponsors to help it get back in business with an attempt to raise the $5 million needed to get the Allan Array running again.
In a country where some corporations do not pay taxes, millionaires get farm subsidies and a presidential candidate can run up a half-million-dollar tab at Tiffany's, we're deferring an attempt to answer one of our most enduring (and least inexpensive to answer) questions: Are we alone in the universe?
