A man in North Carolina was arrested after trying to buy goods with a forged $1 million bill at Walmart.
The 53-year-old attempted to purchase a vacuum cleaner, a microwave and a number of other items over the counter with a $1 million bill that he insisted was genuine, despite the fact that the largest bill in circulation is only $100. The man was arrested and charged with trying to obtain property by false pretense.
Police say a North Carolina man insisted his million-dollar note was real when he was buying $476 worth of items at a Walmart.

How exactly did you get your hands on not just one, but two of those incredibly rare bills that weren't even circulated to the general public?

It was a nice try, I guess. I wonder what posessed him to think he could get away with it.

You'd think he might've tried a smaller bill first. Like a fake c-note.

1000 dollar bills arent that rare and they are just taken out of circulation. they were available in canada for quite sometime and were purple in colour. i used to keep a bunch of them until they stopped using them.

we have a 2 hundred dollar gold coin here in AU......my dad had one set as a necklace for my mum....as a joke......saying "now you will never be short of change"...................what he's askin is a little to much change to carry yeah!!!!! And if I remember rightly, isn't it virtually identical in size to the $2 coin? I've thought at times how cool it would be to be given $200 change by mistake if someone accidentally cashed the wrong coin Could be wrong about the size, it's been at least fifteen years since I saw one.
