Aaron Smith had been driving along a road in British Columbia when he spotted something very unusual.
It had been around 5:15pm and he was heading home from work near Silvermere Lake when he stopped to capture some footage of what appeared to be a black bear with a distinctly blue head.
The peculiar spectacle had attracted the attention of several other motorists who had stopped by the roadside as well but none of them could figure out what might have given the animal its unusual hue.
When he got home Smith uploaded the footage he'd taken on to social media where it managed to attract even more attention. He also reported what he's seen to the Conservation Officer Service.
The story behind the bear's strange affliction however continues to remain a mystery.
Wow! Mysterious wildlife recorded in the pacific northwest and the camera was more-or-less in focus, the images clear, and the camera wasn't bouncing around all over the landscape. So it can done!
if you look carefully the bear also has blue on his front left paw. My guess is he's been looking for food and poked his head and paw in some blue powdery type substance. Paint is another candidate but if I was to have a guess it's likely more of a powder substance otherwise it would not look so shiny (mixed with his natural fur). So can anyone suggest any blue powdery substances that could be to blame? OR....maybe he tried to eat a blue toner cartridge or better still maybe he robbed a bank and the bounty was booby trapped.
she's a mother as we can see.i guess she got help from researchers because of some injury. The blue head is because of the "disinfection-spray"!!! This spray is blue.but this will disappear after a while and soon her fur is normal brown/black again
Perhaps a type of mold. Or from collecting fish that died from an excess of blue algae bloom? Ahhh, maybe she is into punk! I had a mutant or transgender cardinal visiting my feeder for two years. She/he/it had a white tuft tipped with pink. (click on the photo to enlarge.) Perhaps a type of mold. Or from collecting fish that died from an excess of blue algae bloom?
