Giant alligator filmed walking on golf course

The alligator was enormous. Image Credit: Charles Helms / Facebook / YouTube / Golf.com Charles Helms had been enjoying a round of golf at the Buffalo Creek Golf Course in Florida when he turned to see an alligator so large that it looked like something off the set of Jurassic Park.

Grabbing his phone, he was able to capture the moment on film as the lumbering reptile slowly walked across the fairway without showing any interest in the people standing nearby.

"He doesn't bother anybody and they don't bother him, he's like a mascot for the course, which is owned by Manatee County," said golf course employee Wendy Schofield.

"There have been guesses that he's 15 to 16 feet long."
