Tunnel optical illusion leaves driver baffled

Is this a hole in the road, or something else ? Image Credit: Reddit / StormShadow250 What do you do if you are driving through a tunnel and suddenly you see a large precipice in front of you ? It might sound unlikely, but this was the scenario that one driver believed he was facing while driving his car through a concrete underpass in the United States recently.

Footage of the spectacle, which has since gone viral on social media, shows other vehicles approaching the apparent hole and either slowing down or stopping.

"That's just a pit," he can be heard saying. "They don't have this s**t blocked off or something?"

It isn't until another vehicle actually drives past, however, that the truth of the situation is revealed - the "hole" at the side of the road is actually nothing more than a puddle of water.The reflection on the water's surface had made it look like there was a large hole there.

"I am high!" the man can be heard saying. "I'm not actually high, but holy **** bro. It looks like a pit doesn't it? I thought they just carved out a hole. I'm tripping."
