Santa's grotto uses polygraph to test if kids have been naughty or nice

Two shopping centers in England have rolled out a rather novel approach to their Santa's grotto attractions this Christmas.
How does Father Christmas know that a child is worthy of receiving a gift at his grotto ? He gets them to take a lie detector test - at least, that is, if they happen to be visiting him at Westfield London or Westfield Stratford City shopping centers this festive season.

Nicknamed 'Father Fibmas' due to his unusual approach to gauging worthiness, Paul Bramley, who serves as the expert polygraph examiner on Santa's behalf, asks kids between the ages of 6 and 12 a number of questions to see if he can catch them out.

The questions, which range from "when was the last time you ate a vegetable?" to "have you been keeping your bedroom tidy?", are certainly the sorts of the things children might lie about.
Depending on the answer, the device will return a result of "Tinsel Truth", "Ask Again" or "Festive Fib".

Those who tell the truth could be in for an extra present from Santa, while those who lie might be instead ordered to eat more Brussel sprouts this festive season.

Stupidist thing I've ever heard of, putting Krampus out of a job.  In Holland and parts of Germany etc.,  they have both St.Nicholas (Santa Claus dressed as a bishop, from St.Nicholas of Myra) and his helper is Krampus who punishes bad children. Can't they leave anything alone?

No because the goal is to make more money, not to keep traditions.

Yeah, let's make a kid nervous by having it strapped to a lie detector test in public and then be declared "naughty" because they get stressed out by it. What could go wrong?

Deep State Santa.  And you'd better be good for goodness sakes, or Santa will waterboard you.

Santa has a grotto? Does he lounge around there in his pajamas with topless elves?
