An alleged ghost at Cannock Chase.
Who or what is this ? Image Credit: YouTube / Furious Otter
A woman dressed in white was spotted standing among the trees in this infamous area of rural England.
Situated in rural Staffordshire, England, the area of countryside known as Cannock Chase has gained something of a reputation over the years for being home to all manner of weird and disturbing things.

Both visitors and locals alike have reported everything from UFOs and paranormal phenomena to sightings of strange creatures wandering through the woods.

This particular sighting, which shows what has been described by the media as a "black-eyed girl", comes courtesy of a drone pilot who captured footage of a mysterious figure in the forest some years ago.

Dressed in what appears to be a long white robe, the figure can be made out quite clearly and looks like a woman with long hair just standing there looking at the drone.
"We have had lots of reports of a 'black-eyed girl' seen walking around," local paranormal investigator Robert Plume told The Mirror. "At first she appears like a normal girl and walkers are worried a little girl is lost in the woods. Then they see her eyes and she just disappears. It is terrifying."

But does the footage really show a ghostly figure ?

While it's impossible to tell the precise circumstances from the video alone, it's quite likely that the whole thing is little more than a prank and that the 'ghost' is just a regular woman standing there.

You can check out the footage for yourself below.

You will not paint me into a corner with a leading narrow question which is a back fire on you. "Honesty" in the way you are wielding it has no bearing on if black eyed kids are a reality or make believe lets start with the glaring fact past stories most of which have zero to support they arent made up offer zlitch in the form of supportive evidence not once has a picture of these brats popped up. You can repeat a made up story that you believe at face value that doesnt make you dishonest it makes you gullible, naive and credulous, show me a shed of evidence past stories blsck eyed kids are a ... OK, our, by now predictable, disagreement about the value of personal testimony. You will give no credence to personal stories. And I say they must be considered in total and judged. Perhaps one reason for our differences is that I search out paranormal cases in books and the internet.  To give an example of one from today: if you don’t believe in magic/the supernatural just go to africa the stuff you see there is going to change the whole trajectory of your life and what you thought you knew. i was born and raised in australia but when i was 15 (i’m 19 now) i moved to kenya for four yea... You sit in a chair and do research from books and on thr net, thats super i have done years of hands on out in the field studies in many different areas and never once seen anything that supported special powers, paranormal etc, i have however seen people will believe what they want to believer and confirm others of the same mindset based on nothing more that face value of a story as we see you do on here time and again. Just because a group of people believe the world is flat and tell stories to support their beliefs doesnt make it so. Kenya story, You quoting and then believing just a story ... [More]

But to me you are making the 'sample size of one' logical error. Because it didn't happen to me personally, I don't believe it can happen to others? Just sounds like lots of logical errors there. Well certainly folklore and superstition can abound, but the key take away from the story is that something paranormal likely did occur. The interpretation of it can be up for another discussion.  Well, such events as this Kenya story are random and unpredictable so 'proof' is not really possible. The closest we have are spiritualist seance type settings with credible careful witnesses investigating ... [More]

You confirmed everything i said about you, ty. You also are guilty of making up stuff, i never said because i dont experence paranormal no one does they very well might but never not once has a paranormal claim been proven. Again you are mistaking your biased opinion as fact, your kenya story is nothing more than a story it has zero to support its even a true story to make claims it supports paranormal much less proves it is biased credulous and naive and out right wrong. Do you hear yourself? "You heard" a story. So what its just a story and no, superstitions while maybe real to some gullible... [More]

Why is everyone arguing. In regards to the Kenya story, I  believe it. I heard family ghost stories brought over from Germany. Think I mentioned the one about a bar of light, my great grandmother's family saw. It took place in Gambach in Bavaria in the 1800s. The family had gone to this neighboring town for a fair.  They took this path over this hill to go there.Coming back they took the same route home.It was dark. Well as they were walking, the had the feeling they were being followed and observed a bar of light following them. And yes, there are such things. The strange light continued t... [More]

That looks like a beekeeper.  When the drone drops down, it appears that the beekeeper flips his or her hood back to get a better look at the annoying and intrusive flying device that just disturbed whatever work they are doing in the forest.  Some hives, incidentally, are kept in forests because of the abundance of pollen sources.  Depends on the type of bee.  A convenient and secure place to shelter a forest apiary would be right on the edge of the tree line, adjacent to a plowed field, with a dirt road leading up to it.  If the drone footage from above had continued to the dirt road, w... Looks a girl checking a part of the Chase that has been deforested. Hadn't commented on here in a while but it's good to see the vitriol in the comments section is alive and well.
