A woman dressed in white was spotted standing among the trees in this infamous area of rural England.
Situated in rural Staffordshire, England, the area of countryside known as Cannock Chase has gained something of a reputation over the years for being home to all manner of weird and disturbing things.
Both visitors and locals alike have reported everything from UFOs and paranormal phenomena to sightings of strange creatures wandering through the woods.
This particular sighting, which shows what has been described by the media as a "black-eyed girl", comes courtesy of a drone pilot who captured footage of a mysterious figure in the forest some years ago.
Dressed in what appears to be a long white robe, the figure can be made out quite clearly and looks like a woman with long hair just standing there looking at the drone.
"We have had lots of reports of a 'black-eyed girl' seen walking around," local paranormal investigator Robert Plume told The Mirror. "At first she appears like a normal girl and walkers are worried a little girl is lost in the woods. Then they see her eyes and she just disappears. It is terrifying."
But does the footage really show a ghostly figure ?
While it's impossible to tell the precise circumstances from the video alone, it's quite likely that the whole thing is little more than a prank and that the 'ghost' is just a regular woman standing there.
Why is everyone arguing. In regards to the Kenya story, I believe it. I heard family ghost stories brought over from Germany. Think I mentioned the one about a bar of light, my great grandmother's family saw. It took place in Gambach in Bavaria in the 1800s. The family had gone to this neighboring town for a fair. They took this path over this hill to go there.Coming back they took the same route home.It was dark. Well as they were walking, the had the feeling they were being followed and observed a bar of light following them. And yes, there are such things. The strange light continued t... [More]
That looks like a beekeeper. When the drone drops down, it appears that the beekeeper flips his or her hood back to get a better look at the annoying and intrusive flying device that just disturbed whatever work they are doing in the forest. Some hives, incidentally, are kept in forests because of the abundance of pollen sources. Depends on the type of bee. A convenient and secure place to shelter a forest apiary would be right on the edge of the tree line, adjacent to a plowed field, with a dirt road leading up to it. If the drone footage from above had continued to the dirt road, w... [More]
Looks a girl checking a part of the Chase that has been deforested. Hadn't commented on here in a while but it's good to see the vitriol in the comments section is alive and well.
Belief is wonderful thing I envy the comfort some seem to get from blindly believing religion. Like I keep saying stories even believed ones doesn't make them true. The lady we bought this house from deeply believed all her stories of this joint being haunted and at this point about five years later I have debunked them all with down to earth prosaic explanations not blowing them off but finding the cause of her claim it could only be a ghost, a haunting etc. Does his joint have some cool weirdness? You bet! Is it paranormal? No, Not at all.
