Video footage shows alleged 'ghost' sitting on a bus in Delhi, India

Image Credit: Instagram / bien_forever According to the caption of the video which was posted up on Instagram, the footage was recorded by a bus conductor who was doing his routine checks of a bus, presumably outside of operating hours, when he noticed on the CCTV screen that someone was still on board.

Puzzled, he turned his camera toward the seat on which the passenger was sitting only to find that it was completely empty - there was definitely nobody left on the bus.

Upon panning back to the CCTV screen, however, the passenger - a man wearing a white shirt - could still clearly be seen sitting alone on an otherwise empty bus.

There is, of course, one major flaw with this - if the 'ghost' only shows up when viewed through a camera, why is it not showing up through the bus conductor's camera ?

As things stand, it's not clear exactly where this footage originated, but it has certainly proven popular on Instagram where it has racked up hundreds of thousands of views.But does this footage really show a ghost on the bus ?

The most likely explanation is that the CCTV screen is simply showing a recording from a previous point in time when there actually was someone sitting there.

Perhaps the system is malfunctioning, or perhaps the whole thing is little more than a hoax.
