The incident involved reports of a red saucer-shaped object that baffled Stoke-on-Trent locals back in the 1960s.
The strangeness began on September 2nd, 1967 when reports started to emerge of something strange in the skies over Bentilee, Stoke-on-Trent which is situated in Staffordshire, England.

Descriptions of the phenomena seemed to differ slightly but most witnesses agreed that the object was saucer-shaped and exhibited a number of lights which routinely changed color.

Some also described it as having a red glow that did not seem to be giving off any heat.

"It seemed like a saucer and then it changed in different colors," said one witness. "It changed like... red and then it... come into like a greenish color and then a blue."
"There was no heat. It was just a red glow, like a sunset," another added.

In total, there were around 70 independent sightings of the phenomenon.

Now, several decades later, a new play is being produced all about the incident.

Named Bright Lights Over Bentilee, it is being produced by the local Claybody Theater and will begin its run this Friday at The Dipping House for anyone who happens to be visiting the area.

"The idea that something might be out there in general and that this is like a.... kind of world where people on a mass scale saw something in our area, I think that's kind of like really kind of wild and magical," said cast member Jack Wilkinson.

As I mentioned earlier on this thread, but also in a number of others threads, personal worldviews prevent some posters from having a more open minded approach. They believe they know the truth and they dismiss and deny everything which doesn't fit this worldview. You can take a look a the posts.

Contact with alien life is more common than many people realise. Here is someone actually speaking Martian (he had to be hypnotised to reveal this):

What are you talking about? That was truly funny.  I always laugh when I hear a good joke... dont you?

I didn't hear any joke. Unless you make fun of the distressing experience someone had as described in the post above by pellinore

So you believe in alien abductions?

Are they trying to change the conversation?

Scrap that, I'll ask you on a more relevant thread.

Perhaps I should make a thread about John Mack who was a great mind, also a Professor at Harvard just like Avi Loeb. That place employs top scientists and very open minded individuals.

So what do you have in mind? I am personally not in favour of  predetermined conclusions and of the mindset that everything must have a 'rational' explanation.
