The Republican congresswoman has suggested that extraterrestrial visitors may actually be 'fallen angels'.
It turns out that JD Vance is not the only American politician with alternative views about the nature of visitors from other worlds - Rep. Lauren Boebert also recently expressed very similar opinions.
In a short video she recently recorded while sitting in her car, Boebert talked about the UFO phenomenon while expressing her thoughts based on her personal religious beliefs.
"[It's] always been something in my mind to say, 'Well, how can we be the only ones?' Like, God's not going to stop creating just with us," she said.
"The more I look into this, the more I see the Old Testament and what was told to us there, of fallen angels, and Nephilim. [There is ] nothing that says that fallen angels, that Nephilim just disappeared."
"And so I believe that this could be an aspect of it."
"I do believe that this is more spiritual and, if you really want to go there, demonic."
Boebert's comments are not dissimilar to those of Vice President JD Vance who sparked controversy recently when he suggested that UFOs were being piloted by 'demons'.
"I don't think they're aliens," he told Benny Johnson during a podcast interview.
"I think they're demons anyway, but that's a longer discussion."
"I mean every great world religion, including Christianity, the one that I believe in, has understood that there are weird things out there, and there are things that are very difficult to explain."
