The rewarding voice

This story was submitted to the site by Mickey from Bellingham, Washington.
I lived in Bellingham Washington when this event happened to me, I don't know the exact dates and times. You must first know that I'm not, nor have I ever been diagnosed with a psychotic disorder of any kind. I don't do recreational drugs either.

I was alone, heading north, to work in my 1990 Ford Escort, on Interstate 5, about 9:00 am. I had and still have to this day, an 1,100 watt stereo system, but for some reason at this time I just didn't feel like hearing it, so it was off. I had passed the Airport Dr Exit for a bit and was about half way to the Axton Rd / Main St Exit 260 when all of a sudden I clearly hear this man's voice say “Get off at the next gas station”. I instantly got scared at this point because I knew I was alone while I'm driving. I replied, “Hello! Is anybody there”? There was no answer.
I looked at my watch and realized I was actually running a bit early to work and I thought to myself, the voice didn't sound threatening, nor did it seem to be asking me to do something that would be harmful. Even though it's actually one exit sooner than the one I normally take, I can just take a different side road to work. So I made the decision to get off on that exit. I pulled into the gas station and parked my car on the side of the building. A minute passes and I hear this voice say “Go inside”. Again, it sounded safe, so I went inside. I walked in, took a few steps and stopped and said out loud, now what? This voice tells me “Buy a bag of chips”. So I go over and grab a bag of Funnions, walk over to the register, the man rings me up, I pull out my wallet and pay with the only $10 I had. As I'm stuffing the change into my wallet, I start to get this upset feeling because this stupid voice just conned me into buying a bag of chips and this was seriously my lunch money for the rest of the week and I'm hypoglycemic, so I HAVE to have food.

So I'm putting my wallet away while holding my bag of Funnions and as I look down on the floor, as I'm walking out, there is a $20 bill on the floor. I picked it up and walked out. I think most people would be scared from hearing voices and while this was the first and only time that I experienced such a thing, I always hope to hear it again. Only I hope to hear it tell me “Buy a lottery ticket”.

That's weird. I wonder if it's possible your car radio was turned down low but not actually switched off like you thought it was. Other than that, who knows where the man's voice came from if not your imagination. I must say he told you to do some strange things! anyway perhaps next time he'll tell you which winning lottery numbers to pick as well, that is if there is a next time which you sound keen that there will be. Good luck

Well you have an excellent point, and I wondered about this myself, especially since I'm a college drop out from Electronics. It would be highly feesable that had my amps of been on, that a CBer close by, could have had his radio beeding into my system, however there are just a few problems. He would however have to be just a few feet from me. So it wouldn't make sense how I was also able to hear this voice when I parked at the station, in addition to when I walked into the store, as I obviously was unable to take my cars stereo system into the store with me. There are just to many scientific ... [More]

This is awesome. I'm the kind of guy who's lucky like that quite often. I find money in bank atms, the floor, random pockets, etc etc.. I've never been directed by fate though. And it makes me wonder that even if you had a spirit guide helping you along your journey, how do they have a sense of the future and or past? Makes you wonder... Anyways. Good read. thanks for sharing

Strange indeed and not a good sign at all. Whatever it is, it shouldn't be happening. Unnatural. It's either spiritual or advance military technology, imposing. Hmm. “This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.” 2nd Tim 3:1.

Not if it was a rig with a Connex 3300 like what's in my log truck. It's real powerful and will bleed over a entire truck stop, which is why it was only used in the woods. Fear mongering with a misused verse from a fraudulent letter of Paul?  "You may be quite sure that in the last days there will be some difficult times. People will be self-centered and avaricious, boastful, arrogant and rude; disobedient to their parents, ungrateful and irreligous; "  Is the quote in context....

I guess I missed the Mickey Thread from FOUR years ago... Nonetheless...people hear thoughts in their heads.  Mickey was hungry.  He didn't want to stop but his 'inner voice' said stop at the next exit.  The 20 dollar bill is called 'coincidence'.  We have all had those same kinds of things happen, probably more than a few times. Nothing mysterious, nothing weird...just a hungry guy thinking he wants something to snack on. pretty much describes EGW to a T.  So, wow!  That Paul guy!  How did he know that EGW would be the answer to his prophesy?  Now that's weird!

Paul obviously didn't write the letters to Timothy and scholars have been calling BS on them for a century. The difference in writing style is even apparent in the King James which is a bad translation of a worse translation.
