One day while at work at a local hospital here in Massachusetts, I, along with another co-worker, was giving a tour of the Emergency Department to a small group of schoolchildren. While there, one of the doctors decided to give the children a demonstration of how casts are made. The children were excited to see, so they ran to the table where the doc was. My co-worker and I stood with our backs to the wall, grateful for a moment to relax.
Suddenly, one child, apparently a straggler not wanting to be left out, ran behind me and my colleague to get over to the group. When running behind us, he or she put their little hand on my lower back to move me away from the wall. I took a step forward to allow room for the child to pass and noticed that my co-worker had done the same. We both glanced behind ourselves to see which child it was. To our surprise, there was no one there! I definitely would have thought it was my imagination had my colleague not experienced exactly the same thing.[!gad]One day while at work at a local hospital here in Massachusetts, I, along with another co-worker, was giving a tour of the Emergency Department to a small group of schoolchildren.
