The haunted Queenslander

Image Credit: YouTube / Mike Pike My partner, myself and our two young sons currently reside in an old rental property in Queensland, Australia. At first we didn't notice anything out of the ordinary, but after a year or so some very convincing occurrences led me to finally come to the conclusion that ghosts are in fact real. The first occurred one night when the missus was sleeping in our bedroom and I was sleeping in the lounge room because our mattress is too uncomfortable some nights.

In the morning she told me that she woke during the night with the feeling that she was being watched, when she opened her eyes she reckoned she saw a figure of a man wearing a hood standing over her! She said that she then shut her eyes and said a prayer and when she opened them it was gone. My initial thought was that it as most probably an intruder, but the fact that the house is high set and any intruder would have to walk past me to get in and out of the bedroom led me to believe that she was just dreaming and didn't think much if it.

About a week later we came home after shopping and the front door was wide open and our obvious thought was that someone had broken in but nothing was missing. A few mornings later the missus told me that while I was sleeping in the bedroom she was watching telly in the lounge room when she felt someone caressing her legs, when she looked up no one was there. A couple of days later we came home to the door standing wide open with nothing missing from the house again. Another morning about a week later she told me that while sleeping separately she felt some caressing her legs again! By then I knew there was something strange going on and all of this wasn't just imagined or dreamt.I started feeling angry toward the entity because it was as if it was trying to send me crazy. A few nights later I was dozing off to sleep when all of a sudden I felt this intense sense of fright for no apparent reason, then I felt someone's fingers lightly fondling my hair! As soon as I realized what was going on I felt it again but this time it was allot more intense and convincing so I jumped up and darted to the bedroom where I slept for the rest of the night. Now that the ghost had our attention, one night when the kids where in bed, angela and I were sitting on the couch watching tv, angie looked at me while flinching and asked me if I just touched her face, I said no and continued to watch the tv, she flinched again and said " I know its you, stop it its freaking me out" I said im not doing anything and she didn't believe me, then I felt something playing with my hair!

We had a few nights like what I've described so far and it was getting beyond a joke so I started investigating online on how to deal with it. We were led to the assumption that we had to communicate with the ghost to find out why it was doing these things and that it wouldn't be weird to talk to it directly, what kind if response we should expect we weren't sure of. We sat with the intention of making contact for about a week, within that week angela's engagement ring went missing off her finger and couldn't be found anywhere, she reckoned she had it on when she got out of the shower and when she walked the boys to school so she went for a walk back along where she had walked but couldn't find it. Later that day she yelled out "what the hell?" She said she found it in her jewelry box and that there is no way that she put it there.

We decided enough is enough and later that night we sat down with candles lit with the intention of making contact, and for no reason angela became really irritable and we started arguing over nothing really, so I blew out the candles and simply said to the ghost that we want to help but don't know what to do, I said that if u are in need of help give us a sign.... nothing. So I said well if you don't want our help either go to the light where all our passed loved ones will be waiting for you or, if not, you aren't welcome here if you are just going to keep messing around with us so GET OUT!

Since then nothing has really happened in the way of strange occurrences other than my hair being played with a couple of times and quite frequently seeing shadows of something moving in the corner of my eye,and also the feeling of being watched. Come to think about it I've always had that feeling for as long as I can remember and seeing things in my peripherals too! What the! Ill keep you posted, this just got a whole lot weirder, and I've felt like someone has been watching over my shoulder as I have been writing this, awwww I've got goosebumps and somethings touching my legs! Stuff this seeya!!
