Mysterious powder

Image Credit: Midjourney This has started within the last year or so. I will hear noises, like a door opening, foot steps, and when I wake up the next morning there is a powdery substance on the carpet at the end of the bed.

My small dog sleeps in the bed and will lay and growl looking at the walls. This has happened numerous times and the next to the last time it happened, I felt like something was around me and when I woke up the substance was at my bedside on the carpet at my head. Also when this happens I feel the temperature getting cold. The only ones living here are my husband and myself. He is fast asleep when this happens. The substance has no smell.

I showed it to my daughter one morning when she came by and said it was strange. I just wanted to share this. It's been a couple of weeks now with no powder, but I never know when "this visitor" will return.

Could this be some type of spirit?
