Tourists visiting San Francisco's infamous island prison caught something unusual on camera.
Situated in San Francisco Bay and home to a notorious abandoned prison that was once believed to be inescapable, Alcatraz is today a popular destination for visitors from all over the world who come to wander its abandoned jail cells and corridors.

In addition to its historical significance Alcatraz has also long been considered to be one of the most haunted locations in America with tales of evil spirits, sightings of apparitions and a feeling of dread that is said to permeate the island.
Now a tourist couple from England believe that they've managed to capture evidence that something really does still lurk within the prison after a photograph they took through the door of one of the cells seemed to show the figure of a mysterious woman inside. There had been nobody there at the time and the couple have been unable to explain how the figure turned up on the image.

A news report showing the photograph can be viewed below.

You'd think they'd have a proper camera, rather than using an iPhone. Seeing as they are tourists. Just the mention of the iPhone screams "FISHY" to me.

Cant see it. You can't see what? The face in this photograph in the door window?

You'd think they'd have a proper camera, rather than using an iPhone. Seeing as they are tourists. Just the mention of the iPhone screams "FISHY" to me. That's not a valid criticism. Nearly everyone I know doesn't have a dedicated camera, but uses the camera on their phone for everything, from weddings to holidays to photographing their kids, etc. The four most popular cameras on Flickr are all models of iPhone. That's just the nature of photography these days - most people just use their smartphone to take photos as it's good enough for them and they always have it with them.

I forgot to mention that the ghost is flat, she has no shades or textures. If you look at other peoples posts here where are the photos of it you noticed that they have textures and shades around their face. I believe that this is a Photoshop or ghost picture I'm still in the process of updating my apps of ghosts but I still strongly that this is fake and not a random person due to reason stated above.

pfft... heres another...see the shape of a man? http://www.baycityguide.com/alcatraz/ And yet another, whoa that place is seriously haunted http://nicolette-the...blogspot.co.uk/ When I realised the OP photo was of a visiting booth, I did a google on "Alcatraz visiting booth" where I found these images ‘The woman’s hair and clothing is from a different era, it looks like she’s from the 1930s or 40s,’ Said the woman who took the pic. OH yeh? How the heck can you tell that from a dark cellphone image? My opinion, its another visitor looking through the glass. simples . Whoa! Now that's a... [More]

YOU TAKE THESE PEOPLE AND GIVE THEM A LIE DETECTOR TEST THAT PROVES THEY DID NO ALTERING... Polygraph testing is inherently flawed. Why do you think it's inadmissible in a court of law?
