This remarkable Japanese invention is even capable of sweating to help keep its motors from overheating.
It might look like a prototype of Arnold Schwarzenegger T-800 Terminator, but with its 108 motors and super-strong frame, Kengoro is more interested in working out than assassinating people.

Developed by a team at the University of Tokyo, the robot was debuted at the International Conference on Intelligent Robots and Systems in Daejon, South Korea this week.
What makes it particularly unique is that it has the ability to 'sweat' to keep cool by secreting deionized water from permeable channels within its sponge-like frame.

The water even evaporates as it cools so that the robot doesn't leak everywhere.

"Usually the frame of a robot is only used to support forces," lead author Toyotaka Kozuki told IEEE Spectrum. "Our concept was adding more functions to the frame, using it to transfer water, release heat, and at the same time support forces."
