In a world first scientists have succeeded in creating teeth from stem cells paving the way for a future where dentures will be a thing of the past and we could visit the dentist to not only have teeth removed but for new ones to be grown in place of them.
Scientists have made teeth from stem cells in a world first that could make dentures a thing of the past. They looked like normal teeth, were sensitive to pain and chewed food easily.

Still bet they're many years (will guess between 5 & 10) away from testing it out on humans, so not getting my hopes up just yet!

It reminds me of the bit from Family Guy... "Why aren't we funding this stuff!?" Seriously though this is great news.

i wonder if you could grow other types of teeth? like if you were missing your canines, if you could decide to get dog canines? Well if you notice the way they do this procedure is that they implant the "tooth bud" into the gum and then it grows. So besides the possibility of being able to implant tooth buds of other creatures it also may be possible to implant the "tooth buds" in other areas of the body as well. You may be able to grow teeth anywhere you want.
